Kylemore Abbey & Gardens
Built out of love, an enchanted fairy tale castle with magical looks & walks through the Kylemore wooded heartland. Home to the Benedictian order of Nuns, Kylemore Abbey is a secret haven of peace & tranquity. 2 Hour stop. This is the lunch stop on the tour.
I absolutely loved this tour. Although I may be a little biased because we stopped in a town in Galway that my Great Grandmother is from, so it had a special place in my heart. Regardless, the sites we saw were beautiful. My Tour Guide Pat was great and knew a lot of history. I learned a lot on this tour. He was happy to help answer questions we might have had and told us a lot about Ireland which I loved to hear.
The one thing that was a little confusing was I booked it out of Dublin but it’s a company out of Galway. The tour company arranges it so it picks you up in Dublin. However, I’m jumping on just a regular bus from Dublin to Galway and then start the tour. I expected the tour to start in Dublin. I didn’t mind taking a bus to Galway first, I just didn’t get the impression that’s what I was doing. Besides that little hiccup everything was great. Also, if you;re taking the tour right out of Galway you don’t need to worry about this either.
I would recommend this tour to anyone staying in Galway.
